Thank you for your interest in My School. We have been providing high quality preschool, pre-k and kindergarten programming for the past 49+ years! We have expanded to offer grade school, up to second grade. We are housed in a beautiful Victorian building which adds to our warm, home-like feeling. Our philosophy is Reggio-inspired which means we believe children learn best through play-based, hands-on educational experiences. We study topics that are relevant to children’s lives and carefully incorporate language, math, science, social and artistic skills throughout. Due to our commitment to small class sizes, teachers have the ability to get to know each child and tailor the curriculum to meet their individual needs. We provide weekly art classes in our Art Studio space for all children enrolled.

We have a few preschool enrollment options for children 2.8-4yrs (& potty trained)

• Preschool-
  • Choice of 2, 3 or 5 days with the main program running from either 8:45-11:45 or 9-12pm each morning
• Pre-K-
  • Choice of 3 or 5 days with the main program running from 8:30-12:15pm each morning.

We offer Kindergarten through Grade 2 programming for 5-7yr olds (K/Grades 1 & 2 class) from which children can proceed to 1st, 2nd or 3rd grade respectively, provided they meet the age requirement. This is a 5 day program with 4 day options for kindergarteners only.

• Kindergarten for 5 yr olds-
  • Short Day option, 8am-12:15pm or
  • Full Day option, 8am-2:30pm

• Grades 1 & 2 for 6-7 yr olds-
  • Full Day option only, 8am-2:30pm

We are open 7:30am-4:30pm for families who desire extended days. We closely follow the Dover School calendar as far as vacations and holidays. Our school year goes from September to June and we offer a 7 week Summer Program for current or past families to bridge the summer gap.

Enrollment

My School’s Admissions Process-

1. February- Current Family Re-Enrollment- Families currently enrolled have the option of re-enrolling or enrolling a younger sibling. Re-Enrollment begins each year in February for our current families. Information and forms are sent home when we return from Holiday Recess. If current families choose not to re-enroll in February they risk losing their child’s spot for the following school year.
2. March- Priority Enrollment-  Priority enrollment is given to past families, alumni (parents who attended My School as children!), and *waitlisted families, in that order.
   • Past Families- Past families have had at least one child previously attend My School. These families have the option of enrolling without scheduling a tour. This means they can send in their enrollment form and fee beginning March 1st.
     
   • Alumni- Did you attend My School as a young child, way back when?? If so, your child qualifies for priority enrollment beginning March 1st. Please email the office as we’d love to hear your story!
   • Waitlisted Families- Waitlisted families, if added to the waitlist before December, will be contacted to schedule a tour in February. Therefore giving them the ability to enroll their child beginning March 1st, 1 month ahead of other new families. *See below for more about our waitlist
3. April- Open Enrollment for New Families-  Any new family interested in enrolling must first email to schedule a tour. During the tour, tuition information and enrollment forms will be made available. Tours are scheduled February-May each year, and as needed throughout the school year. Open Enrollment period begins April 1st. Enrollment for new families is on a first come, first served basis.
4. June- Secondary Open Enrollment- If any openings remain or new openings occur past April 31st, there will be a final enrollment period beginning June 1st. Families who come for a tour between the enrollment periods may apply to our wait list. Beginning in June, waitlisted families will be selected to fill all remaining spots.

Waitlisted Families (April-June)-

• Waitlisted families who apply between enrollment periods, will be given consideration for any remaining spots in the order they were received.
